WHO IS LESSON ONE?
JAMES GOARE
As a performing artist, James has toured as a national recording act in the roles of lead guitarist and vocalist. He has been a teacher, mentor and inspiration to 1000s of students for over 4 decades having taught privately at Goodwin Music for more than 25 years and as an Adjunct professor at ONU. He is the founder of the area’s only youth band, the Minor Blues, for which he was twice awarded as a music innovator and youth champion.

NATHAN SANTOS
Nathan’s lifelong involvement in music includes performing, teaching, composing, directing, recording, engineering, touring, promotion, advising, and publishing. As a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, he has shared the stage with the most respected artists of our time, and has provided vital foundational musical mentoring to a number of today’s professionals.

DAVID
BREASTON
David learned to love music at an early age. His parents were both musicians, and he was introduced to various instruments, however, his deepest passion was for the drums. In school he played in the symphonic and concert band, jazz band, state jazz band, marching band and would garner several awards throughout his academic career. He was founding member of the band Sucker Punch. He traveled with the group Committed. He has also played with The Will Freed Band, The Lima All-Stars, Armory, and Gutter Funk. Currently, he plays with Exploit while subbing in with various tribute bands in the area.

LESSONS WE OFFER
AVAILABLE BY APPOINTMENT MONDAY - SATURDAY 1:00-8:00PM
GUITAR
We teach all styles you want to play on rhythm, lead guitar and bass guitar, from classic to modern rock, blues, all forms of popular music and more. Music theory, stand notation as well as tablature are taught, including advanced techniques and the utilization of the Nashville numbers system. Song structure and how to play in a band dynamic with other players is also emphasized.
VOCAL
We offer vocalists the ability to get the most out of their vocal range and development of full, chest and head voice and other physical concerns including proper warm up and voice strength building techniques. European Classical, Musical Theater, African American, and other style repertoire available.
PIANO

Appropriate instruction available for any age and experience level; can utilize systems from traditional European (Classical) to African-American (Blues, Ragtime, Boogie Woogie, Jazz, Gospel) to contemporary popular; and reading, technique, analysis, chord realization, improvisation, composition/arranging, and accompanying all fashioned to individual needs.
DRUMS
Several of the area’s top teachers and players are instructors here, teaching snare drum, percussion and full drum set techniques. Drum notation reading, playing in odd time signatures and drum tuning are taught as well as playing in the context of a live band.
OUR STUDIO
Located at the Harrod Event Center in Harrod, OHIO, our studio is a fully functional audio and video production facility. Students who enroll have the availability to this technology in their experience for a hands-on approach to learning their craft. Our production studio is regularly used to produce video content, develop performance ensembles, and live streaming.
